Garrey Dawson has bought Heston Blumenthal's share of the Riverside Brasserie in Bray, Berkshire, for an undisclosed sum.

Dawson, who has worked with Blumenthal for seven years and has been acting head chef at the Riverside Brasserie for the past nine months, is now an equal partner in the restaurant with former Arsenal footballer Lee Dixon and Alfie Hitchcock. Blumenthal said he wanted to focus on developing the menu at the Fat Duck and running the Hind's Head pub he purchased recently.
