Barceló has promoted Wayne Topley to executive general manager of the hotel group's four-star properties in Hinckley and Daventry. Topley, who was previously GM at the Barceló Hinckley Island Hotel, has also worked at De Vere Oulton Hall in Yorkshire. Before that he spent nine years with Marriott Hotels. In 2002 he won a Caterer and Hotelkeeper Acorn Award.
