Clapham House continues restaurant roll-out

Restaurant group Clapham House is working on a pipeline of sites for its three businesses as its ambitious roll-out continues.

Company executive chairman David Page said the company’s mainly suburban London locations had protected it from the repercussions of the terror attacks and its Bombay Bicycle, Gourmet Burger and Real Greek businesses were trading well.

Since the start of its financial year in April the company has opened seven new sites to take its restaurant total to 25.

Page added that the company had recently exchanged contracts on three more premises and had another three ready to go, subject to legal negotiations.

Page said: “The board looks forward to the financial results for the current year with confidence.”

In the full year to 31 March, the company made a pre-tax loss of £605,000, although Page said the business had been trading in the black since the start of the calender year.
