Burkes buy Haven Guest House
The Haven Guest House in Leyburn, North Yorkshire, has been sold to David and Paula Burke for its asking price of £375,000. The six-bedroom hotel also features a lounge bar and breakfast room. Robert Barry & Co was the agent.
Draycott House goes to private buyer
Draycott House in Chelsea, south London, has been sold off a guide price of £8.5m. The property features 13 serviced apartments, with one, two or three bedrooms, parking, a private terrace and gardens. It was sold to a private buyer through agent Knight Frank.
First-timers buy up Norlands hotel
The 16-bedroom Norlands hotel in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, has been sold for close to £355,000. New owners Sharon and Frank Strickland, from Fife, are first-time hotel buyers, although Frank has catering experience.
The three-storey property has a 34-seat dining room and three-bedroom owner's accommodation. The agent was Christie & Co.
Dukes takes over Llandudno Risboro
The Risboro hotel in Llandudno, North Wales, has been sold for just below its asking price of £950,000.
The 63-bedroom hotel has two restaurants, a conference and ball room for up to 200 people, and a leisure centre with a 40ft indoor pool.
Brenda and Lawrence Irving, who plan to retire after 40 years in the industry, sold the hotel to the Dukes Holiday Hotels Group, which owns a total of seven hotels.

BDL buys a handful from Eastlake
Glasgow-based BDL Hotel group has bought five Express by Holiday Inn hotels from Eastlake hotels for an undisclosed sum. The hotels are in Milton Keynes, Northampton, Droitwich and Swansea, with another under construction in Newport.
The buy takes the number of hotels owned by BDL to 13, with a total of 1,700 bedrooms. BDL hopes to expand to 20 hotels over the next two years.
