Mitchells and Butlers opens new training academy

Mitchells & Butlers has opened a new in-house training academy at its Retail Support Centre in Birmingham.

The academy will be used by Mitchells & Butlers' 38,000 central support and retail employees for inductions, learning and development programmes, and can accommodate road shows, workshops and forums for up to 250 people.

The facility includes a training bar, uses the latest IT technology, as well as utilising some of the energy saving practices found in Mitchells & Butlers' businesses such as LED lighting.

Kadisha Lewis, director of talent development at Mitchells & Butlers, said: "Developing our people is absolutely critical to our success and the launch of the Training Academy underpins our commitment to be one of the best companies to work for where our employees feel that they are continually learning."
