Ollie Dabbous to open a restaurant in London's West End

A former chef from Michelin-starred restaurant Texture is to launch his first solo venture in London's West End next year.

Ollie Dabbous will open his eponymous restaurant in Fitzrovia early next year, together with mixologist Oskar Kinberg, who previously managed the Cuckoo Club.

Located on Whitfield Street, Dabbous will offer a menu of small plates with seasonal produce and light, clean flavours at its heart.

Typical dishes will include salad of fennel, lemon balm and pickled rose petals; barbecued Ibérico pork, savoury acorn praline, turnip tops and homemade apple vinegar; and chocolate clay with sheep's milk ice-cream and basil. Dishes will be priced from £4 to £14, with a seven-course tasting menu at £49.

Dabbous will be spread over two floors, comprising a main dining room and a basement bar, where an extensive cocktail menu and a selection of bar snacks will be served.

Interiors will combine industrial and organic features, including exposed brickwork, sheet metal and copper pipes as well as wooden elements.

Commenting on his first restaurant, Dabbous said: "We will be a more modern and informal alternative to many of London's fine-dining restaurants.

"Prices will be reasonable and there will be no fuss or pretentiousness. Above all, we want guests to feel welcomed, not intimidated."
