Starbucks has signed a licensing agreement with Center Parcs which will see 10 coffee outlets open across the four UK holiday villages.

Each site will be staffed and operated by Center Parcs employees with Starbucks providing coffee, food and merchandise as well as training, operational and marketing support.

Rupert Lawrie, director of business alliances at Starbucks, said: “This partnership with Center Parcs is an exciting step forward for us as we look to build our presence in the leisure sector.

“Our licensed store model has a proven track record of delivering significant returns for all parties. Going forward we will be actively looking for more partners in the leisure sector who can share in this success in the UK.”

Center Parcs signed a deal with restaurant operator Tragus in July to put high-street brands Bella Italia and Café Rouge in the leisure village operator sites.

The deal is part of a £12m investment in the holiday business’s 53 UK restaurants and bars.
