Will Ricker teams up with New York's Serge Becker to launch Mexican restaurant in Soho
London restaurateur Will Ricker has teamed up with New York nightclub operator and designer Serge Becker and entrepreneur Spencer Churchill to launch a new Mexican restaurant in Soho.
The 100-seat La Bodega Negra will open in February, comprising two linked locations: a taqueria and café on Moor Street and a restaurant and bar on Old Compton Street.
Ricker, whose other sites include Eight Over Eight, E&O and Great Eastern Dining Room, will be in charge of the running the operation and overseeing the food.
The menu will include ceviches, tacos and tostados, as well as rôtisserie dishes from a wood-burning grill. La Bodega Negra will also feature an extensive cocktail list as well as a special tequila menu.
Meanwhile, Becker, whose New York ventures include La Esquina, Miss Lily's, Joe's Pub, Bowery Bar, the Box and the Mercer Hotel, will oversee the interior of La Bodega Negra.
