The University of Manchester, Provision of caetring servicesThe University of Manchester are inviting applications from suitably qualified companies who wish to be considered to operate the Christies Bistro and Whitworth Building plus the Whitworth Hall.

The Christies Bistro and Whitworth Hall will be tendered separately and may be awarded to separate operators.

Christies Bistro is situated on the 1st floor of the Whitworth Building, Oxford Road, Manchester. The Bistro consists of a 62 seater restaurant serving a table d’hôte menu. Beverages and light snacks are served in the lounge area throughout the day.
Outside normal operating hours Christies Bistro can be host to functions for the University or external customers. These can be formal dinners up to 120 and receptions for up to 150. The Bistro is particularly popular for wedding breakfasts.

The Whitworth Hall is used throughout the year for formal university events, which will include formal dinners up to 300 and receptions up to 600, plus private functions such as wedding receptions. There is limited kitchen space attached to the hall therefore any food must be prepared off site.
