Ben Arnold from Westminster Kingsway College has become the second Robbie Millar Scholarship winner.
Arnold impressed judges including chef Paul Rankin to best seven other finalists during a cook off at the South West Regional College in Dungannon.
In addition to receiving the Scholarship Sculpture created by Ross Wilson, he has won a stage at the Michelin-stared River Café in London, which had a fire drama last weekend.
He will also spend time at the Valrhona Chocolate Tain L’Hermitage training centre and with Illy Coffee in Triesle in Italy.
Arnold takes home a magnum of Billecart-Salmon NV from wine merchant James Nicholson and a set of Victrinox knifes from Henderson Food Service.
The scholarship was set up in memory of Northern Irish Michelin-starred Robbie Millar who was killed in a car crash in 2005.
Robbie’s wife Shirley Millar, who presented the award, said: “I’m delighted to see Robbie’s name honoured with such a fine performance from all the finalists.”
