Urbium extends West End presence

Thursday 30 September 2004 12:32

Bar-nightclub operator Urbium has bought a 550-capacity venue in London’s West End for £1.45m.

The acquisition of Strawberry Moons would help the company tighten its hold on the West End market, suggested executive chairman John Conlan.

The site will trade in its current format until early next year, after which a “modest reinvestment” will take place, although the club will not close, he added.

Urbium currently operates 28 late licensed bar-nightclubs, including the eight-strong Tiger Tiger chain.
