Steffens |
Sjaana Steffens has been appointed sales manager at the Ramada Encore London West hotel. She joins the three-star, 150-bedroom property from the Express by Holiday Inn Croydon where she worked in the same role.
John Frazer is the new general manager at the four-star, 65-bedroom Cadogan hotel in London. He joins the group from the five-star, 68-bedroom Baglioni hotel, which he helped launch onto the capital’s hotel market.

Jones |
Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has made Kate Jones the public relations manager for the UK and the Middle East. She joins the company from her senior marketing role at the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing. In the newly-created position she will be based in the London regional sales office.
Moat House Hotels has appointed Martin Woods as the new general manager of its three-star, 133-bedroom Peterborough hotel. Martin, who has worked for the company for 15 years, moves from the three-star, 120-bedroom Bedford Moat House, where he was also general manager.
Queens-Line UK Reservations, the central reservations centre for Queens Moat Houses, has appointed Debbie Elliot and Stephanie Clark as team managers for its contact centre in Romford, Essex. Stephanie previously worked as customer service manager at drinks company Hayman and Debbie joins the company from Universal Music, where she was a contact centre manager.
Restaurants
The two-star Glenmorangie House in Ross-shire, Scotland, has appointed Gary Stevenson as its new sous chef. Having trained at the Andrew Fairlie at Gleneagles restaurant, Stevenson, 23, joins the Glenmorangie (which has two AA rosettes) to work under head chef David Graham.

Veronica Bowen has been appointed operations director for Worcester-based education catering group Alliance in Partnership. She previously managed her own training consultancy. She will take responsibility for school catering contracts in London and south England.

David Weller is the new sales and marketing director at Alliance in Partnership, the education catering specialist. He joins the Worcester company from Haden Building Management where he was sales manager for Scotland, the North and the Midlands. He will be responsible for the company’s brand profile, new business and marketing activities.

Whitbread has appointed Paula Vennells as group commercial director. She joins the group from Argos, where she was marketing director. Vennells, 42, previously worked as strategy and marketing director for Whitbread Restaurants and will now be responsible for brand marketing across the company and the supply chain and food innovation activities.
