Pub operator Enterprise Inns could be close to agreeing a £1b refinancing package.
The pub company could announce a deal within the next few weeks, and possibly as early as Tuesday when it announces its half-year earnings, according to the Sunday Times.
The news eases concerns that the company, which had a net debt of £3.6b at the end of September 2009, will have to turn to its shareholders for cash.
