Hever Castle in Kent

Compass Group’s event catering division Leith’s has won a decade long deal at Hever Castle in Kent worth £15m over the full-term.

The deal will see Leith’s cater for visitors to the castle, childhood home of Anne Boleyn, at two self-service public restaurants and four onsite kiosks.

It will also run function catering for corporate events and weddings in the castle grounds, as well as the bar and restaurant at Hever Castle Golf Course.

The contract is for 10 years and annual turnover is forecast at £1.5m a year.

Nick Moorhouse, managing director of Leith’s, said: “We are delighted to be working with the team at Hever Castle to develop the catering offer across this fantastic estate.  We look forward to an exciting future”.

Hever Castle, the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, is set in extensive grounds (253 hectares including the golf course) and has a water maze and boating lake.

Leith’s will refurbish the castle’s public restaurants this autumn as part of the deal.
