Courts give Aramark another 12 months
Aramark has added another 12 months to its contract with the Crown Court Northern Group. The contract has an annual turnover of about £1.9m and includes 16 sites throughout the North of England.
Across the group, Aramark feeds more than 15,000 judges, jurors and visitors, and employs 120 staff.
Sodexho adds years to meals-on-wheels
Home Service, Sodexho's meals-on-wheels division, has retained its contract with the London Borough of Redbridge for a further five years. The deal has a total turnover of £2.5m and will see Sodexho supplying about 175,000 hot and frozen meals a year for direct delivery to the homes of the elderly and infirm.
The contract also includes the supply of 30,000 lunch-club and day-centre meals. Sodexho has held the contract since August 1999.
Redcliffe to go on display in Walsall
Redcliffe Catering has won a contract at the New Art Gallery in Walsall. As part of a rolling contract with annual sales of £500,000, Redcliffe is running the gallery's rooftop restaurant and ground-floor café, as well as managing the conferencing, banqueting and hospitality events held at the venue.
The Midlands-based independent caterer is introducing three-course Sunday lunches for less than £10 in the rooftop restaurant.
New City division is Just Fine
Just Deli has launched a new division, Just Fine, to specialise in executive dining in the City of London. Its first contract is with investment firm Invesco, to provide catering for 15 conference and hospitality rooms for three years.
In addition, Just Deli will run a delicatessen and bistro for the company's 900 staff. The combined contracts are worth £1m in annual turnover.
Compass division gets the grease
Compass Group's oil, gas, remote site and defence division, ESS, this week signed a 10-year deal with oilfield services company Schlumberger.
The contract, worth $26m (£16m) in its first year, covers Schlumberger's operations in the UK, Algeria, Oman, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. The two companies already have contracts in the Americas, Europe and Indonesia.
Eurest goes longer with AMEC
Eurest has extended its contract with engineer AMEC. The contract is worth £160,000 in annual turnover and means a 10-year extension to Eurest's original 12-year deal at the firm's headquarters in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Eurest serves about 180 staff at the site, caters for 14 meetings a day, and has introduced a Deli Marche coffee bar.
LSG signs up for Gulf Air flights
LSG Sky Chefs has signed a deal with Gulf Air to provide in-flight meals on 30 flights a week between London, Bahrain and Abu Dhabi.
As part of the deal, the caterer has refurbished its halal facilities and introduced new pastry-making equipment at its Heathrow production unit.
