Indian restaurant The Cinnamon Club is to open a sister restaurant and bar in the City of London’s Devonshire Square development this November, Caterersearch has learnt.

Cinnamon Kitchen will serve modern Indian cuisine similar to that of its Westminster counterpart, which opened in 2001.

The 125-cover restaurant will include a private dining room seating up to 12 with room for an additional 15 at the chef’s tandoor bar, called Anise.

It will accommodate up to 100 with booth seating for 40, while the covered dining terrace will be suitable for up to 40 diners.

Rohit Chugh, managing director of The Cinnamon Club, said: “Having spent the past year carefully planning and formulating this new concept, we are very excited about opening Cinnamon Kitchen in the Square Mile.

“The same ethos of innovation and creativity that drives The Cinnamon Club will apply and our executive chef, Vivek Singh, has created a stunning new modern Indian menu for the restaurant.”

Cinnamon Kitchen’s menu, at an average spend of £45 per head, will feature modern Indian cuisine with signature dishes such as spice crusted and grilled black leg chicken livers; chargrilled duck with sesame and tamarind glaze; Nile perch with crabmeat and kokum crust; and grilled fat chillies with Hyderabadi mince.
