Business and industry (B&I) caterer ISS Eaton has acquired northern firm the Catering People, for an undisclosed sum.
ISS Eaton managing director Simon Titchener revealed back in February that the company was in negotiations to purchase a B&I caterer.
The Catering People, founded by Andy North and Aileen Smith, has annual turnover of £10m and employs more than 250 people.
Active in the B&I sector, the firm also operates in the public sector and education markets.
Titchener said: “As a result of ISS Eaton’s continuing growth within the UK, this is a strategic acquisition that blends two like-minded companies under one brand.”
North said he was confident that ISS Eaton would respect and complement the business and that he looked forward to working as part of a team.
