The Kiwi Collection - an online rating and booking system for luxury hotels - has been introduced to the UK.
Originally launched in Canada in 2003, the collection now has offices worldwide and features more than 2,300 hotels and resorts in 132 countries.
In the UK, the Kiwi Collection currently features 91 hotels, all which have been personally reviewed and rated on 10 criteria to achieve an overall score out of 100. Scores are awarded for service, rooms, food and beverage, spa and fitness, attention to detail, generosity and value, wow/hip factor, architecture and design, location and fit to promise.
Philippe Kjellgren, president and chief executive of the Kiwi Collection, said that recommendations are based on the aspects of hotels customers really care about.
"Hotels are continuously vetted and removed if they fall below Kiwi Collection's rigorous standards, hence the collection remains fresh and reliable," he said.
According to the Kiwi Collection, the UK's most impressive hotels are in London and include the Connaught with a score of 92, the Savoy (89) and the Dorchester (87).
