Crerar Hotels snaps up management deal at six more former Swallow sites

Crerar Hotels has agreed a deal to manage six former Swallow Hotels owned by Matrix Asset Management.

It follows a management deal struck with property owner REIT last month for 13 former Swallow sites.

In a separate announcement, the company has also won the management deal for Fishers hotel in Pitlochry, Scotland, which is looked after by LaSalle Asset management and was also part of the Swallow empire.

The latest deals bring the value of hotels under Crerar’s management to more than £150m.

Paddy Crerar, chief executive of Crerar Hotels, said: “Our first focus is to ensure that the teams at each of the hotels are given the security, tools and attention they have been starved of during this difficult period of administration.”

The Matrix Asset Management hotels under management are: Thainstone House hotel and the Waterside Inn in Aberdeenshire; Station hotel in Ayr; Bower hotel, Manchester; Buckatree Hall hotel in Telford, Shropshire and Chaucer hotel, Canterbury.

London and Edinburgh Swallow Group went into administration in September.
