Business has continued to be brisk at Enterprise Inns, the UK’s largest independent pub operator.
The group, which operates more than 9,000 pubs, announced today in a pre-close trading statement that it had increased operating profit per pub by about 8% year-on-year.
The Unique Pub Company subsidiary – which Enterprise bought for £609m in March – is trading in line with expectations, and the integration of the 4,000-strong chain is expected to be completed by March next year.
Enterprise is confident this will lead to annual savings in the region of £25m.
The group also announced that Graham Turner, managing director at Unique, will leave at the end of the month.
