Theo Randall opens own restaurant with IHG

Thursday 11 May 2006 15:22

Theo Randall, head chef of London's River Café, has left to head up a new restaurant at the InterContinental hotel on Park Lane.

Caterer has learnt that Randall will launch the refurbished hotel's flagship restaurant, to be called Theo Randall at the InterContinental, when the property reopens this autumn.

The restaurant will feature a modern interpretation of authentic Italian food with daily changing menus.

InterContinental's general manager, Roland Fasel, said: "We are delighted that Theo Randall has chosen to open his first independent restaurant venture at the InterContinental London. Theo is one of the most talented chefs in Britain."

Randall had been at Ruth Rogers and Rose Gray's River Café restaurant in Hammersmith for 17 years.
