The Anvil Inn at Pimperne, near Blandford Forum in Dorset, has sold to Simon and Anecia Monsi, who described buying the traditional country freehouse as “a dream come true”.
The property is reputed to date back to the 16th century, although has undergone comprehensive refurbishment in recent years.
The inn features 13 letting bedrooms, a 35-cover restaurant and two bar areas.
The property sold for close to an asking price of £750,000 through agent Colliers Robert Barry.
