
James and Mandy Donnelly are the new owners of the four-star Dhailling Lodge guesthouse in Dunoon, Argyll.
The semi-detached Victorian property in Alexandra Parade overlooks the Clyde Estuary and is mid-way between the two ferry terminals serving the peninsula.
It offers seven en-suite bedrooms to sleep 11, a residents’ lounge with bay window and marble fireplace, a dining room, and a two-bedroom private suite.
Outside is a patio area and parking spaces to the front of the property, which dates back to 1880.
The guesthouse – which operates below the VAT on restricted seven-month period -made a trading profit of £33,234 in the season to 5 April 2007 on net sales of £59,268, of which accommodation and breakfast accounted for 67% of sales and evening meals and drinks for 33%.
The Glasgow office of Colliers Robert Barry sold the freehold off an asking price in excess of £400,000.
