Hotels in Munich showed the greatest year-on-year growth in April 2007 of the 10 European cities listed in the monthly Europe HotStats survey from TRI Hospitality Consulting.

The triennial trade show Bauma (which attracted more than 500,000 visitors) helped the German city boost revenue per available room by 77.6% to €117.46 on the back of a 61% hike in room rate.

Moscow and London were the only other cities to achieve double-digit growth on both counts. Moscow led the revpar table with €160.71 while London came in third (after Paris) with €156.55.

Prague and Hamburg both suffered a decline in revpar (of 9.5% and 2%) while revpar growth was stagnant in Vienna.

The figures are compiled each month by Tri Hospitality Consulting.
