Heathrow’s Crowne Plaza and Sheraton hotels voted best airport venues

The Crowne Plaza Heathrow and Sheraton Heathrow have been named the best airport hotels in the Holiday Extras Customers’ Awards 2009.

Eighteen thousand HolidayExtras.com customers responded to the travel add-on providers’ airport survey.

Travellers named InterContinental Hotel Group’s Crowne Plaza Heathrow property as the best airport hotel in the UK, ahead of the Starwood’s Sheraton Heathrow, which was named as runner-up.

“I am delighted that the hotel should get such great recognition. The team, as in any hotel, work really hard and will be thrilled to be voted the best airport hotel,” added Crowne Plaza general manager Nick Campbell.

Sheraton Heathrow general manager Andrew Huxstead added: "The is thrilled to be recognised. We aim to give our customers the best service and comfort, along with helping to streamline their travel experience whilst travelling through one of the world's busiest travel hubs."
