Festive Menu Guide

As the economic squeeze underlines the need for quality food at low prices, Booker has launched a Festive Menu Guide that gives caterers a clear cost per serving for all dishes.

For example, a Christmas menu of soup and a roll, turkey with all the trimmings and mini Christmas puddings with brandy sauce has a cost price of just £2.37.

As well as a wide selection of starters, main courses, desserts and cheeseboards - along with tableware and decorations - the guide includes two buffet options priced at just £1 or £2 per plate.

The standard buffet line includes mini chicken satay, vegetable samosa, quiche lorraine, sausage roll and savoury egg, while the premium menu lists choices such as kofta kebab, butterfly king prawns, buffet pork pie and chicken wings.
