Principal Hotels, which is owned by private equity firm Permira, has re-branded its operations following the purchase of Hayley Conference Centres.
The new group has been re-launched as Principal Hayley Hotels and Conference Venues.
It has 17 sites operating in the four to five-star bracket of the market with 3,000 bedrooms and 400 meeting rooms with the ability to host around 20,000 delegates a day.
Principal Hayley chief executive Tony Troy said: “This is an exciting time for the group. We are expanding and developing as a company and our vision is to be the best upper four and five-star hotel and conference venue group across Europe.”
Permira paid £358m for Hayley in May 2006. It will launch a new website in the New Year.
In March Permira bought the Rocco Forte’s St David’s hotel in Cardiff Bay for £32.5m.
