The recovery of fast-food giant McDonald’s is continuing apace, with new figures showing sales up 6.2%, fuelled by a strong performance in Europe.
Monthly sales figures for November showed turnover at its European restaurants up 8.4% with its US restaurants ahead 5.1%.
Against the year as a whole, sales were up 5.6% and 5% respectively.
McDonald’s cited the launch of its “Big Tasty” burger in the UK as one factor behind the growth, as well as various games promotions, which particularly boosted sales in France and Germany.
