Chef-restaurateur Andreas Antona is to move his award-winning fine-dining restaurant, Simpson's, into Birmingham's Edgbaston area. The Michelin-starred restaurant, launched 11 years ago, is currently at Kenilworth, Warwickshire.
Antona will retain the Kenilworth site and turn it into a bistro. He confirmed that both restaurants would trade under the Simpson's name, and seat about 70.
Simpson's Birmingham will continue to produce the modern, classically based French menus that have won the Kenilworth restaurant acclaim over the last decade. There will also be a cookery school attached to the new restaurant, which Antona expects to open in the autumn.
