Veteran London restaurateur Claudio Pulze is to launch a new Italian eaterie in the capital, Caterer can reveal.

Osteria dell'Angolo, due to open in September, will be a 70‑seat restaurant in Westminster. Head chef will be Michele Broge, who previously worked in the kitchens of Zafferano and Aubergine before joining the three-Michelin-starred Enoteca Pinchiorri in Florence. Front of house will be overseen by general manager Salvatore Broccu.

Pulze told Caterer that Osteria dell'Angolo will offer a classic Italian menu, including antipasti, home-made pasta, risotto and meat and seafood dishes. "The menu will be 100% Tuscan, with seasonal ingredients, and we will offer set menus alongside the à la carte options," he said.

The restaurateur also revealed details of his forthcoming ventures, the Beehive and Brasserie Saint Jacques, which have both been delayed due to unforeseen circumstances.

The Beehive in Marylebone is Pulze's first pub, which will open in mid-April and serve a menu of pub favourites. Set to open last year, its launch was delayed after part of the ceiling in the listed building collapsed.

Brasserie Saint Jacques, which will be located on the former site of Ristorante Fiore on St James's Street, was scheduled to open last September but was delayed due to problems with the lease.

Philippe Legendre, executive chef of Le Cinq in Paris, was involved in the project initially but Pulze is currently looking for a new head chef to oversee the kitchen of the French restaurant and hopes to open it at the end of May.

"I have launched 49 restaurants in my life, and the Beehive will be my 50th," Pulze said. "While the Beehive and Brasserie Saint Jacques were meant to open last year, you cannot control events, and I still get really excited by the different challenges each project presents."
