US hotel marketing consortium Indecorp has been relaunched as the Preferred Hotel Group.

At the same time, the marketing consortium has added a fourth category, Boutique Hotels, to its portfolio.

Boutique Hotels is designed to compliment its existing brands of Preferred Hotels and Resorts, Summit Hotels and Resorts, and Sterling Hotels.

Chief executive John Ueberroth said: “Now with three brand portfolios and the option of our connectivity service, we have the best, most flexible solutions in the industry.”

The boutique brand currently includes 14 US-based Kimpton hotels but aims to have 100 properties by the end of the year.

The whole consortium includes 300 independent hotels in more than 50 countries and provides business advice, sales and marketing, as well as distribution, reservations and revenue management.
