Roberto Pinus has joined Hotel Felix in Cambridge as deputy manager. He was food and beverage manager at the Jolly President hotel in Milan. Jonathan and Lucy Moss have joined the hotel as assistant manager and assistant restaurant manager, respectively. Both join from Yorkshire's Hazelwood Castle hotel, where he was deputy operations manager and she was restaurant manager. Karen Spring has joined as reservations manager from ScotAirways, where she was a reservation controller based at Cambridge airport.
Kew Green Hotels has made a trio of appointments. Jeanette Mountnet has joined the Days hotel in Derby as general manager from the Express by Holiday Inn Swindon, Wiltshire, where she was general manager. Stuart Smith is the new general manager of the Kew Green-owned Express by Holiday Inn Nottingham City Centre hotel, having previously managed the Days hotel in Derby. Tony Wright has become general manager at Kew Green's Express by Holiday Inn, London Stansted Airport hotel, which is due to open next January. He previously held management positions with the Holiday Inn brand at several city-centre and airport locations.
The Bristol Marriott Royal hotel has welcomed Tim Price as general manager. He has made the move from Thistle Hotels, where he was cluster general manager at the Thistle Islington hotel and London Ryan hotel.
Marie-Clair Nash has been recruited by Park Plaza Hotels as director of national accounts and consortia UK. She was previously a sales director at the Waldorf Hilton hotel in London. Celine Diriberry has joined the group as sales executive business travel UK, and was previously a sales team member at both InterContinental and Golden Tulip hotel groups. Claire Woosnam has joined Park Plaza Leeds as corporate sales manager. Her previous role was in sales at the Metropole hotel in Leeds.
Gregor Andreewitch, previously general manager at the Hilton London Heathrow Airport hotel, has moved to the Drake hotel in Chicago as general manager. Taking his place is Dagmar Muhle, previously general manager at the Caledonian Hilton hotel in Edinburgh. Willy Blattner , previously general manager at the Hilton Zurich hotel, has become general manager at the Caledonian Hilton. Hilton Portsmouth hotel has a new general manager, Sean Wooden. He was previously hotel manager at Hilton St Anne's Manor hotel in Bracknell, Berkshire.ve
Move of the week
Jamie Minshall has been appointed director of golf for Macdonald Hotels. His role includes looking after five Macdonald hotels in the UK, and working with them to develop their golf offering. The move is part of an alliance between Macdonald and independent Hill Valley Golf Club hotel in Whitchurch, Shropshire, which is owned by Minshall's family and opened in 1975.
