Gordon Ramsay’s comments on seasonality and call for legislation to make it an offense to serve fruit and veg. out of season has lead to an explosion of feeling - both for and against - across the web.
Caterersearch’s own readers gave a passionate response to the call with some saying the attack was unfairly focused and others unnecessary, while Nigel Godwin, head chef at Equilibrium restaurant, gave Ramsay his full support.
The Guardian’s Jay Rayner suggested Ramsay had a bad case of “pots and kettles” and should put his own kitchens in order first and Hippyshopper carried on the theme highlighting the many food bloggers that had dubbed Ramsay a hypocrite.
Scotland on Sunday journalist Richard Bath admits to finding Gordon Ramsay annoying and over the top but in the case of seasonality correct.
Caterersearch reported that a former MP was in court over an unpaid restaurant bill.
And the Wall Street Journal and Chicago Tribune amongst others revealed clandestine union activity in the USA involving Compass, Sodexo and Aramark.
The Caterer Blog was awash with news from the recent Chef Conference including an exclusive interview with Marco Pierre White.
