The Grey Gull Inn, which nestles between Loch Fyne and the Crinan Canal in the Argyllshire village of Ardrishaig, has been sold off a guide price of £550,000.
The whitewashed, three-star hotel is located along the busy tourist route on the A83 and is just 35 minutes from the ferry terminal to the Western Isles of Arran, Mull, Iona, Jura and Islay
It consists of 24 en-suite bedrooms, a 40-seat restaurant, two meeting rooms and a self-contained area that could serve as owners’ or managers’ accommodation, with a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and lounge.
The new owner, Raymond Court Hampton, is a first-time buyer although he has experience in the hotel and licensed trade.
The Glasgow office of Christie + Co sold the property on behalf of Bruce and Joanne Potter.
