
Garry Maundrill shows his winning dish at the 2006 International Association of Care Catering Cook of the year competetion held at Birmingham College of Food, Tourism and Creative Studies.
With a budget of just £1.10 contestants had to prepare a two-course meal. maundrills' wimming dishes were crispy cod fish cakes with tomato salsa,chipped carrots,parsnip and snap peas, followed by an exotic fruit smoothie.
Maundrill, who works at the Hollies care home in Hessle, near Hull, beat five other finalists.
