Guoman Hotels launched a £300,000 Food & Beverage Academy as part of its training and development strategy.
Based at the Tower hotel, at London’s St Katherine’s Dock, the academy will provide all staff from Guoman with training, ranging from product knowledge to masterclasses featuring producers and suppliers.
Training will take place in the academy’s fully-equipped restaurant and training room and will be sponsored by some of the group’s key suppliers.
The academy will offer tailored training activities, comprising of three levels and 30 different sessions.
Food and beverage academy manager, Sarah Williams, said: “The academy will offer our staff specialist training to evoke their passion for service and product.
“It is our objective to focus on staff growth and development to enable them to provide each guest with a positive, superior experience during their stay.”
