Caterer Chester Boyd has scooped a three-year contract with the Goldsmiths' Company worth nearly £2m.

A division of CH&Co that focuses on operating in London livery halls and private venues, Chester Boyd will provide catering for all dinners and corporate events at Goldsmiths' Hall. It will also run the restaurant for the annual Goldsmiths' Fair.

Dick Melly, clerk to the Goldsmiths' Company, said the caterer had impressed with the "strength and talent of its operation".

He added: "We have exacting standards for every thing we do at Goldsmiths' Hall and I'm delighted at the prospect of working closely with the Chester Boyd team."

Alison Tyler, managing director of commercial business for CH&Co, said: "It is a real coup for Chester Boyd to be able to add Goldsmiths' Hall to its exclusive portfolio of City venues

"Our chefs use the finest ingredients, locally sourced wherever possible, and we have the resources to provide our staff with skills development programmes which stand us apart from the competition."
