The Hotel marketing Association launches Young Marketer award

The Hotel Marketing Association (HMA) has launched a new award to recognise marketing talent in the industry.

Young Marketer of the Year, sponsored by American Express, is open to candidates aged 30 or under that have demonstrated creativity and expertise in one of six categories.

These are: advertising campaigns; brochure design and copy writing; direct marketing; public relations; internet marketing and strategic sales campaigns.

Pamela Carvell, chairman of the HMA, said: "This award is an important breakthrough for the hotel industry as it is the first to recognise young talent in the key discipline of marketing."

The new award category is part of the annual Hotel marketing Awards.

Deadline for entry is 17 November and the winner will be announced at a ceremony at London's Savoy hotel on 18 December.

For further details on the criteria for entries can be found at the organisation's website www.hotelmarketingassociation.com
