Jurys Inn to invest £25m upgrading portfolio of hotels
Mid-market hotel brand Jurys Inn is investing £25m on updating its bedrooms and public areas across its portfolio of 32 hotels. Alongside the improvement in decor, money is also being spent on upgrading the group's IT systems.
Over 1,005 bedrooms have received a makeover so far this year, with further improvements scheduled up to the end of 2014.
The bar and restaurant areas are being re-designed to provide guests with warmer spaces with voile partitions creating a more intimate atmosphere. Contemporary-designed bedrooms now boast darker wood furnishings, warmer fabrics and new large tub armchairs, while, new chrome showers and cream tiles have been installed in the bathrooms.
John Brennan, chief executive of Jurys Inn, said: "We have recently invested significantly in developing our new brand identity, positioning and product offering and this investment programme will help bring some of our older hotels in line with our newest properties to ensure that all our facilities are consistently of a high standard and fully meets the needs and expectations of both our leisure and business customers."
The Jurys Inn portfolio is made up of 25 hotels in the UK, six in Ireland and one in Prague.
