Dunnikier House hotel

The Dunnikier House hotel in Kirkcaldy, Fife, has been bought by local hoteliers Stewart and Lesley Dykes, who also own of the Crusoe hotel in Lower Largo.

The former 18th century mansion house retains many original architectural features and is set in extensive parkland adjacent to a golf course.

Its proximity to the A92 East Fife Regional Road and Glenrothes make it a popular venue for business meetings and weddings.

The three-star property offers 15 en-suite bedrooms to sleep 25, a bar with a 20-seat eating area, the 40-seat Octavia bistro and the 40-seat Oswald restaurant.

No fewer than seven rooms (including the restaurants) can be used for meetings and provide an overall capacity of 350 guests theatre-style.

They range in size from 15-capacity rooms to the Conservatory function suite that can accommodate more than 100 guests.

The Edinburgh office of Colliers Robert Barry sold the freehold off a guide price of 795,000.
