Ice machine from Hoshizaki

Thursday 09 February 2006 00:00

For seafood display and similar applications requiring plenty of ice, the new TM500 ice machine from Hoshizaki scrapes ice continuously off a rotating cylinder to produce "scale ice" which is claimed to be colder, dryer and longer-lasting than regular flake ice. It works within a relatively compact footprint (761mm wide x 535mm deep) but output is hefty - up to 520kg a day of thick-scale ice (2.5mm) or 630kg a day of thin-scale (1mm).
