Key food and beverage appointments announced for 45 Park Lane

Two key food and beverage appointments have been announced at the Dorchester Collection's new London hotel, 45 Park Lane.

David McIntyre and Loyd Loudy have joined the 45-bedroom property as executive chef and restaurants director respectively of CUT at 45 Park Lane, the first Wolfgang Puck restaurant in Europe.

California-born McIntyre has been part of the Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group for more than 13 years and was closely involved with the creation and development of three of Puck's most high-profile restaurant concepts; Spago, CUT and WP24. Immediately before arriving in London, he was executive chef of WP24 by Wolfgang Puck at the Ritz Carlton, Los Angeles.

Loudy, who was born in France, joins CUT at 45 Park Lane from SupperClub in Notting Hill, where he was responsible for establishing the Dutch restaurant in London. He has also worked at China Tang at the Dorchester, the Oxo Tower restaurant, Shoreditch House, Sartoria and Hakkasan.

Hotel manager of 45 Park Lane, Marie-Laure Akdag, said she was delighted to welcome two "incredibly talented players within the restaurant industry" to the hotel.

"David is one of America's most respected up and coming chefs, and Loyd had a proven track record with popular restaurant launches on the London scene. With 11 previous restaurant openings between them, both have extensive experience in making new concepts a success and I have no doubt they will attract an exceptional food and beverage team for the launch of CUT at 45 Park Lane."

Puck described CUT at 45 Park Lane, which is an American steak restaurant, as somewhere Londoners will head for a great night out. "David and Loyd are the perfect team to bring the restaurant a fun, relaxed atmosphere with incredible food and great service in a beautiful environment," he said.

45 Park Lane, which will be the ninth hotel in the Dorchester Collection, is due to open in summer 2011.
