Whitbread today officially launched its latest restaurant brand, Table Table, with 105 restaurants throughout the UK.

The owner of Premier Inn and Costa Coffee as well as the Beefeater and Brewer’s Fayre chains, said the sites were designed to bring a town centre dining experience to out-of-town locations.

Joanne Cox, marketing manager at Table Table, said:  “As the population begins to lead more and more busy and varied lifestyles Table Table restaurants fit in with the hectic lives of our guests and their friends and family members.”

Whitbread said Table Table would have a large menu ranging from pub meals with a gastro twist, to sharing platters and three course suppers. It will also mix table service with ordering over the bar.

The sites are also designed to offer a variety of dining spaces for customers with “cosy and intimate areas for romantic dinners for two” through to “large party areas”.

Whitbread has combined its hotels and restaurants division under managing director Patrick Dempsey. More than 300 of its pub restaurants share a site with a Premier Inn, while approximately 100 operate on a stand-alone basis.

It opened its first new Beefeater in eight years in Birmingham in March.
