Japanese restaurant chain Wagamama has announced it is to open in Heathrow’s Terminal 5 today.

The noodle restaurant is due to open in March 2008 and will join Carluccio’s, Gordon Ramsay, Apostrophe and Giraffe eateries at the terminal.

The chain also plans to introduce a special breakfast menu for the site, with traditional Japanese dishes such as teppan fried soba noodles with dried cured bacon, white onion, mushroom and egg with tsuya sauce, to coconut cream porridge.

However, there will also be straightforward full English breakfast, or the US favourite of pancakes and maple syrup for traditionalists.
