Jasper Gerard from the Telegraph visits Dans Le Noir and finds the concept restaurant – as intended – darker than a Durham colliery.
Gerard describes “indescribably awful food” and concludes the bill for it can justifiably be described as daylight robbery.
A ravishing addition to the London restaurant scene, is the Independent’s John Walsh’s take on Francesco Mazzeri’s L’Anima, although he adds its perhaps not as excitingly innovative as we have been lead to believe.
Jan Moir, Are You Ready To Order? finds the prices at Ambassade de Lile in south Kensington staggeringly expensive, credit crunch or no credit crunch. However, the critic finds Jean-Christophe Ansanay-Alex’s cooking excellent and muses that “it just might be worth it”.
