Entries are now open to this year’s Springboard Awards for Excellence, which highlight the companies and people leading the way in attracting and retaining the best staff.

Now in their sixth year, the awards are split into three categories: Promoting Careers, Attracting People and Best Employment Practice.

Individuals, teams or partnerships with relevant initiatives that have achieved high quality results over the past 12 months can make nominations.

Each award entry will have to meet specific set criteria, which may vary depending on the award, and a shortlist from each of the three categories will be drawn up and then judged by a small panel chaired by a Springboard UK director.

In each category entries will need to highlight in no more than 750 words:

  • A clear overall strategy
  • The specific need the initiative was trying to address
  • Clear Aims
  • Innovation
  • Achievement/results
  • Evaluation

Springboard chief executive Anne Pierce - this year’s Cateys Special Award winner - said the awards were particularly pertinent this year, given the current economic climate.

“With tougher times predicted it has never been more important to have the right people employed in our industry, and to have clearly defined objectives to attract and retain them,” she said.

“By highlighting the very best with our awards we hope to raise the bar on recruitment and retention.”

Entries may be made via the website: www.events.springboarduk.net/awards, by e-mail to awards@springboarduk.org.uk or by post to

Springboard Awards Entry,
3 Denmark Street,
London
WC2H 8LP

Supporting evidence such as promotional literature and press cuttings should be clearly marked and posted to the above address.
