Provision of catering services: Royal Courts of JusticeStrand, London, WC2A 2LL

A unique opportunity has arisen in Central London to provide an on-site catering service in the Royal Courts of Justice. This service will incorporate a café, a trolley service and hospitality to a broad range of stakeholders.

The Royal Courts of Justice houses 78 courtrooms, Judicial and support offices and ancillary accommodation.

HMCS is therefore seeking a dynamic, suitably experienced and innovative catering organisation with a good track record of providing services to establishments of a similar size to deliver a service that as a minimum operates on a commercial basis i.e. at no cost to HMCS. Current annual turnover is approximately £150, of which the trolley service is £9k and hospitality is also £9k.

The tender process will facilitate the award of a five-year contract, with an option to extend by two years. The evaluation criteria and weightings will be issued with the PQQ.

The Department will then draw up a shortlist of companies who will be invited to tender.Shortlisted contractors will be invited to visit the Royal Courts of Justice to view the facilities to be provided. Completed PQQs must be returned no later than 5pm on Monday 15 December 2008.
