Former Catey winner teams up with D&D London

Former Catey winner Anna Hansen, co-owner of The Providores restaurant in Marylebone, has teamed up with D&D London to launch a new venture.

The Modern Pantry, which will open in St John’s Square in Clerkenwell, east London, in the summer next year, will comprise a restaurant, bar, café and deli that will also cater for events.

D&D London is backing the restaurant financially as a co-investor, with Hansen managing it independently.

Des Gunewardena, D&D London’s chairman, said: “Hansen approached us with a great site, a great concept and with bank financing and a lease already in place. This is very much her project.”

Hansen added: “This is an exciting project for me and I am delighted that D&D London backing The Modern Pantry.”
