Sodexo secures £18m contract extension with ING Bank

Sodexo has announced an £18m contract extension with ING Bank, continuing a business partnership that began more than 25 years ago.

The three-year deal, which originally started in 1982, is worth £6m in annual turnover. When it started it only covered catering, but in the last six years it grew to become a total facilities management contract.

Simon Knight, Sodexo operations executive at ING Bank, said: “This achievement has been possible by working in a true partnership with the client, understanding their needs and working together to achieve common goals.”

Sodexo has also announced that it has achieved ISO9001 accreditation, an internationally-recognised standard for an organisation’s internal quality management systems, for catering at the bank.

The ISO9001 refers to an organisation's actions to ensure that its products or services satisfy its customers' quality requirements and complies with any regulations applicable to those products or services.

James Greetham, Sodexo business director, said that retaining the contract with ING was a great achievement for Sodexo’s Corporate Services division. “It recognises the excellent, long-standing relationship we have with the client,” he added.“The team has worked extremely hard to grow and nurture the business. The ISO9001 accreditation is recognition of the hard work and dedication to service that the team has demonstrated on a daily basis.”

Sodexo employs 80 people at the central London site to provide integrated facilities management services to the company’s 1,700 employees and subtenants.
