People who work in the catering industry are the least likely to take a lunch break, according to a new survey.
Research commissioned by the food manufacturer Ginsters shows that while only 16% of British workers take an hour for lunch, 34% of catering employees do not take any break at all.
Several reasons are given for this, including long shift patterns, an "open-all-hours" work climate and the culture of the catering industry itself.
About 1,000 people took part in the survey and of those 300 were employed in catering.
